Jackpot pools
Configure shared prize levels and their value or time-based drops.
Jackpot levels pool a share of eligible bets. Each level pays its pool to one winner as a free bet before its configured ceiling or at a hidden time within its window, then restarts from its seed.
How it works
Every settled real-money bet on the campaign's counted games feeds each level's pool with a percentage of its stake. Where exactly a level drops is a secret: for a by-value level, a hidden target is drawn between the min-drop floor and the ceiling, and the level drops on the bet that pushes the pool across it; for a by-time level, a hidden drop moment is drawn inside the window (each day, each hour, or a fixed one-off window), and the pot drops on live play once that moment passes. Neither you nor players can predict the exact drop, but the ceiling or window makes the drop itself certain.
A campaign with one level is a classic mystery jackpot. A campaign with several levels is a ladder - for example four pools with rising seeds and falling contribution rates, so small pots drop often and the top pot builds toward a rare, headline win. Every eligible bet contributes to all levels at once, and one bet can even drop more than one level at the same time.
Example
A two-level ladder in ETB:
- Minor: seed
100, contribution0.5%, by value - min drop150, ceiling800. Drops every few thousand ETB of wager, pays 150-800 ETB. - Daily Major: seed
2,000, contribution0.25%, by time - daily cadence. Drops once a day at a hidden moment, guaranteed. - Winner: triggering bet. Payout: expires in
168h (7 days), min odd1.0.
Levels
Each level card in the Levels step sets one pool's economics and its drop trigger.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Level name | The label players see on the pot (e.g. "Minor", "Major"). |
| Drop trigger | By value (drops before a ceiling) or By time (drops by a hidden moment in a window). |
| Seed (pool floor) | The value the pool resets to right after this level drops. |
| Contribution (%) | The share of each eligible stake added to this level's pool. |
| Min drop (floor) | By value: the lowest value the hidden drop target can be drawn at. Must be at or above the seed. |
| Ceiling (must-drop) | By value: the pool is guaranteed to drop before reaching this value. |
| Cadence | By time: Daily, Hourly, or a Fixed one-off window with a start and end. |
The ceiling is a drop-by guarantee, not an exact cap
The hidden target is always below the ceiling, but the drop pays the pool as it stands when a bet crosses the target - a large final contribution can carry the paid amount slightly past the ceiling. Read the ceiling as "drops before here", not "pays at most this".
By-time levels drop only on live play: the first eligible bet arms the level's clock, and if the hidden moment passes while nobody is betting, the pot waits and drops on the next eligible bet. A Fixed window drops once and then closes for good; Daily and Hourly re-arm for the next period after each drop.
Qualification
An optional per-level gate on which bets count. Both checks apply to the bet as it settles; leave them empty to count every real-money bet.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Min bet | The smallest cash stake a bet must have to contribute and qualify. |
| Min odd | The minimum cashout multiplier a bet must settle at to contribute and qualify. |
With no min odd set, losing bets contribute too - contribution is taken from the stake, not the outcome. Setting a min odd restricts contribution to bets that reached that multiplier.
Winner & payout
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Winner | Triggering bet - the player whose settled bet crossed the target. Or Weighted recent - a stake-weighted random pick among players who bet inside the recent window. |
| Recent window (minutes) | For Weighted recent: how far back the pick reaches. |
| Payout expires (h) | Hours the winner has to play the free bet before it expires. |
| Payout min odd | The minimum cashout multiplier the free-bet stake must reach to be valid. |
The prize is always a single free bet whose stake is the pool at the moment of the drop - you do not set its amount. It is playable on the game where the winning bet was placed.
Under Weighted recent, every qualifying bet in the window is a ticket weighted by its stake - a player who wagered more holds proportionally more of the wheel. If a by-time level's hidden moment passes during a quiet spell, the drop always uses this stake-weighted pick over recent bettors, even on a campaign configured for Triggering bet - there is no single triggering bet to point to in that case.
A jackpot win is a free bet, not a cash credit
Winning a 50,000 pot grants a free bet with a 50,000 stake. As with every free bet, only the winnings settle to the player's wallet - the stake itself is never deposited, and a cashout below the payout min odd pays nothing. If the winner lets the free bet expire, the prize is forfeited; it does not return to the pool. See Free Bets & Payouts.
Schedule
A jackpot runs continuously from a start date you set - one edition that never closes. It accumulates, drops, and reseeds on its own, with no end date and no settlement step. Disabling the campaign freezes every pool at its current value and stops contributions; re-enabling resumes from the frozen value.
Cost and scope
- Your cost per eligible bet is the sum of all levels' contribution rates - the wizard's rail shows the total while you edit. Plan it as part of the game's overall return to players, alongside RTP, so the margin lands where you expect.
- A campaign counts bets from one operator, in one currency, on its counted games (empty = all games). There is no currency conversion - run one campaign per currency if you operate several.
Notes
- Only settled real-cash bets contribute and qualify; free-bet and demo play never feed or win a pool.
- Odds are bet-weighted by design: bigger stakes contribute more and win proportionally more often. There are no per-player caps or cooldowns - the standard mystery-jackpot model.
- Players see each level's live pot, its rising progress, and the recent-winners history in the game; when a pot drops, everyone in the game sees the win announced with the winner's name.
- The backoffice campaign page shows each level's live pool and drop history - every drop with its pot size and whether the prize was claimed, is still pending, or expired. See Reporting & Analytics.
The operator, currency, name, and enabling a campaign are the same for every product - see Building a Campaign.
